I had the great privilege of flying to Guffey, Colorado, and spending a week at the recording studios of Dog Ear Audio. While there, I recorded the audio book version of “Starting from Scratch”. It was quite an experience, that’s for sure. Wow. I knew it would be hard, but it was very hard and I was so proud of myself and my work when it was finished. Karen, the brilliant owner of Dog Ear, talked me through kindly and gently (and firmly when necessary). Let me tell you, reading a hot, steamy sex scene out loud is not easy, even if you wrote it yourself. Especially if you wrote it yourself. But after three or four takes, I think it turned out really well, if I do say so myself. (blush) I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever sweat so much in my life! The final version will be available for sale at Dog Ear Audio. Check out this video clip for more details on my first recording experience.9/11. Numbers carved on the hearts of every American. Numbers that transformed millions of lives.
